SPORTS

Physical training and sports facilities are available in the Sports Halls at the Main and Beytepe Campuses of the University. There are outdoor and indoor sports facilities including 1 stadium, 1 athletic track, 2 sports halls, 8 basketball courts, 4 soccer courts, 2 fitness halls, 3 tennis courts, 11 tracking fields. Group recreational activities for the students and staff are also available. The University participates in alI branches of inter-university sports activities. Each year competitions are held between the faculties and schools of the University. The students are also offered elective courses in sports. The University also provides facilities for winter sports in Elmadag (1800 m) 40 km from Ankara. There is a ski-lodge which can cater for 150 people and a house for 50. There is a ski-lift and an ice-rink.

Being located at the heart of the University forest, Beytepe Campus is ideal for outdoor activities Hacettepe University provides facilities and funding for student clubs, which are active in diverse fields of interest. At present there are 95 student clubs offered.

Bartın-İnkumu Facilities

Hacettepe University Bartın-İnkumu Recreational Facilities have been opened.

The facilities, with 32 rooms (double beds), heating system, fully-equipped kitchens and meeting room for 80 persons, are in service.

Elmadağ Ski House

Elmadağ Skiing Center is on the border of Ankara province, located on the northern slope of Elmadağ. It is advantageous for not being far from the center of town.
